Dynamite proudly presents the comic book misadventures of Grumpy Cat, featuring "The World's Grumpiest Cat" and her brother, Pokey! With her ever-present pout and sassy disposition, Grumpy Cat has won the hearts of people everywhere. Now, her unbearable cuteness and infectious sourpuss are featured in an all-new, all-sensational collection of comic stories, sure to make fans of all ages laugh! If you love the memes, the videos, and that irresistible scowl, then get ready for the wildly fun antics of Grumpy Cat and Pokey! (Ages: 9-12)

Squeaky clean for the preteen reader. (4 stars)

You either adore the infamous sour puss or you're wrong. But let's admit it... she's got more merch than thousands of celebrities and that can be really eye roll inducing, especially now that she's got her own comic.

Sadly, the storylines reads like recycled Garfield strips with Grumpy as Garfield and Pokey as Nermal. It's the fantastic artwork that I ultimately enjoyed but then, I grew up in the 80's and am not the target age group for the comic. Which means that while I didn't really love it, I know that the tween audience is going to gobble this down like so many cat treats. The humor is clean and silly and the charming art is sure to please. So if you know a kid who loves comics and Grumpy Cat this is made of win.

Surf's up! Not yet, Dude! Books are boring! Not this one! Bro and Dude have very different ideas about how to spend the day at the beach. But as Bro continues to gasp and cheer as he reads his book (Moby Dick), Dude can't help but get curious. Before you can shout 'Surf's up!' both frogs are sharing the same adventure, that is, until they get to the beach. Newbery Award Medal Winner, Kwame Alexander, and Daniel Miyares have joined forces to give little listeners a wild ride. (4-8 years)

Charming for young readers! (5 stars)

My kindergartner loves books with exciting illustrations and words that she can read by herself. SURF'S UP was just perfect for her. We read it together several times with her eventually reading it to me. I think it's a great short story that has a great and simple message about not discounting reading as an enjoyable way to spend the day.

It's a charming book with fun illustrations that the 4 - 8 year old audience is sure to enjoy without the parent hating it. Perfect for encouraging a reluctant reader!

Who is this for? (3 stars)

Eager for comics featuring kick butt lady characters I snapped this up only to find myself feeling a bit confused by it. It's a brilliant idea to pull so many iconic (and less familiar) female comic book characters together and sort of clash their worlds. That much I really enjoyed but the overarcing story wound up falling pretty flat with an anticlimatic ending that was pure disappointment.

Artistically I enjoyed most of it, though I feel like I wouldn't be too side-eyed if I mentioned not being a huge fan of how male gazey a lot of it is. They're sexy ladies and I don't mind looking at them but that doesn't mean I gotta love it either. Which ultimately brings me to what I finally put my finger on as the reason I just didn't love it... I couldn't decide who it was written for. Who was the demographic? I'm not sure it really had one and for that it suffered from feeling pulled in too many directions.

Comfortable, fun to wear and look great

Truly comfortable and easy to read in an emergency. (5 Stars)

Ever since I woke up in the ER disoriented and confused a decade ago I've wanted to find a medical ID band that was comfortable. My seizure disorder is well controlled with medication but I've lived in fear since my diagnosis that I may one day find myself in need of help but unable to communicate it. In came these simple rubber bracelets from Mediband and for once I feel like it's a suitable option compared to many others I've considered. Most of the rubber ones I've looked at were either way too big and sloppy on my wrist or were too small.

Available for many conditions including asthma, diabetes, food allergies, and drug allergies, I would in particular recommend them for teenagers and athletes who would find them comfortable and easy to wear.
