Cleaning Rhi-flection: Palmolive Fresh Sponge (+ coupon giveaway!)

It's a little funny that I was in the middle of doing dishes when the mailman arrived. I admit I'm a bit compulsive about getting my mail out of the box the instant it arrives (can we say kid at Christmas?) so I was super happy dancing my way back inside to get back to work with my kit from Influenster.

Not only did I get a bottle of new Palmolive Fresh Sponge dishwashing liquid and a new sponge, I have some $1 off coupons to share with you guys so be sure and read the whole post to find out how to get one.

I mostly wash everything I can in my dishwasher for the sake of time but a few things can't go in there like my non-stick pancake pan. I actually was currently using another Palmolive product for hand dishwashing. I prefer 'free and clear' detergents but when the survey for this program came through it hit the nail on the head... my sponges get SOOO stinky! I actually toss them in the top rack of my dishwasher once a week to help.

Yes, I always wear gloves when I wash dishes. My skin is sensitive and I prefer washing in as hot a water as possible so for comfort's sake I use gloves. Palmolive Fresh Sponge has a 'fresh' scent but I personally think it smells yucky. It's not unpleasant, I just don't care for it. It's also a bit thinner than the other Palmolive product I've been using. It got my dishes clean though, even left my stainless pan nice and shiny. The only thing I found was that it left an aftertaste in my french press. I don't know why, maybe I didn't get it rinsed well enough but I had to toss out a press full of coffee that tasted like Palmolive Fresh Sponge. lol

The ultimate test of the product though is the sponge. I used the one provided to wash my dishes but had tossed my stinky one in with the water while I washed the dishes just to see if it would make a difference on the old one. I did a sniff test and to my pleasure they both smelled like the product, not that foul bacteria-farm stench that usually gags me. I'll be using Palmolive Fresh Sponge for a while to see how it works over an extended period of time but so far it's been pretty good.

Since none of my local friends were interested I've got five coupons for $1 off Palmolive Fresh Sponge dishwashing liquid sitting here. To be fair I decided the best way to share them was to just do a giveaway, that way everyone who wants one has an equal chance to snag one. They do expire at the end of May so be sure you can use it in time!

The entry options are pretty simple and I'll be just mailing them with my regular mail (man postage is getting ridiculously expensive!) but be sure to read the full details!
